MOVEMBER IS A MASSIVE HIT AS WOLLEN MICHELMORE RAISES £1000 - Monday 3rd December 2012
Fabulous facial hair produced much hilarity and a fabulous donation for charity at the offices of leading South Devon law firm Wollen Michelmore.
Bewhiskered fundraisers in the Torquay and Newton Abbot offices of the firm succeeded in raising £1000 towards the Movember appeal for prostate and testicular cancer.
The appeal topped a bumper year for fundraising at Wollen Michelmore in which staff have raised around £5000 through various charitable efforts.
The Children’s Hospice South West received £1,100 raised in a raffle at the firm’s Euro 2012 football fundraiser. Wear It Pink day, in which staff wore vibrant pink to work, netted £400 for breast cancer. Rowcroft make a Will Week raised £2,300 by staff drawing up wills in return for a donation, and children in need raised £175.
Managing Partner Chris Hart said: “Movember has really gone from strength to strength as a national appeal and more staff than ever took part this year. It’s been a record year for our fundraising at the firm, but we’re confident we can do even better in 2013!”
